July 23, 2009, (Sawf News) - Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly bought an apartment in Central London's posh Park Lane area for a whopping £20 million, the highest ever paid by any Bollywood actor for property abroad.
Khan earlier purchased a villa in Palm Jumeirah, an exclusive man-made island off the coast of Dubai. Incidentally, he has a boulevard named after him on the island of Al Dana in Ras Al Khaimah in UAE.
The 43-year-old popular Bollywood star was recently awarded a doctorate by the University of Bedfordshire for his contribution to Indian cinema.

Aamir Khan’s ‘3 Idiots’ to give Silver Screen a Miss this year
Known for churning super hits, Aamir Khan, who gave the country it’s biggest grosser so far in the form of ‘Ghajini’, may give silver screen a miss this year. The fabled actor’s much-awaited flick ‘3 Idiots’ has run into a glitch and it has nothing to do with Mr Perfectionist’s idiosyncrasies or outlandish demands. With all his projects on hold, ‘3 Idiots’ is the only film that the actor was to be seen in this year but now it seems that fans will get to see their favourite actor not before next February.
According to the latest Bollywood news, the film that was initially touted to hit theatres on December 25 will now only release next year. And playing spoilsport here is the producers’ committee that has members like Mukesh Bhatt and Ronnie Screwvala.
News has it that even though the producer-director team of Vidhu Vinod Chopra and Rajukumar Hirani is trying to convince the committee, it’s unlikely that the result will be in their favour.

Neha Dhupia Plays Bollywood Actress in US TV mini series
Actress Neha Dhupia will now be seen in a US television show ''''Bollywood Hero' where she plays the role of a film heroine, who is known more for the controversies surrounding her rather than talent.Talking to PTI, Neha said she was signed for the show after an audition since the series' executive producer Tabrez Noorani was a friend.The show will be aired on IFC, an independent film channel. The three-part one-hour mini series will premiere on the US television on August 6 and Neha has been invited to be part of the premiere telecast.
Neha said her character 'Lalima' in the show is of an overbearing, typical Bollywood heroine who is known more for controversies than her acting skills.
"Its spoofy and comical. It also has elements like how talent does not always get priority in showbiz," she said.
Speaking on her films, the actress felt that 2008 was relatively a good year for her with release of films like 'Singh is Kinng', 'Dasvidaniya' and 'Maharathi'.
"Currently, I am shooting for five films- 'Raat Gayi Baat Gayi' with Rajat Kapur and Vinay Pathak, 'Action Replay' with Akshay Kumar and Aishwarya Rai, 'De Dana Dan' with Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, 'Raftar' with Emraan Hashmi and 'Pappu cant dance Sala' with Vinay Pathak," she said.
'Bollywood Hero' also stars American comedy actor Kris Kattan. The story is about Kris wanting to come to India and star in a Bollywood movie with Neha.
"We shot in and around Mumbai. Cameos by Keanu Reeves and Drew Barrymore were shot in Los Angeles," she said.
"The series was shot in a very professional manner.
Noorani is the line producer of Slumdog Millionaire. The crew did not throw any attitude. There was no time wasted," she recalled.
Neha said she will crossover to Hollywood only if she gets a good offer adding her hands were full in Bollywood. Advertisement
Meet Sheena Shahabadi - The Pregnant teenager of Teree Sang
Sheena Shahabadi, daughter of yesteryear actress Sadhna, is making a rather unconventional beginning in Bollywood. In her debut flick "Teree Sang", she plays a teenaged girl whose boyfriend makes her pregnant.
The film comes with a message around teen pregnancy and has sex education as one of its major promotional pegs. Ruslaan Mumtaz plays the male lead.
"Seriously, for how long can one shut eyes to sex education? It sounds so strange that in today's age and times, there are teenagers who don't think about safe sex at all.
Education around this should be a definite must for all or they get misguided by random information available to them," 19-year-old Sheena told.
Directed by Satish Kaushik, "Teree Sang" tells the story of 15-year-old Maahi (Sheena) and 17-year-old Kukko (Ruslaan) who are school mates.
In one of their outdoor rendezvous with a bunch of friends, they decide to 'experiment' and end up making love to each other. When Maahi gets pregnant, she decides to give birth to the child and she gets complete support from Kukko."I'm very happy that I got to play Maahi in my very first film," says Sheena, who is the daughter of Sadhna Singh, of "Nadiya Ke Paar" fame. "It is completely different from the routine running around the trees jig since it conveys a serious message without compromising on the entertainment quotient."
Since this 'kidult love story' - as the film's publicity material exclaims - has quite an uncommon theme, did Sheena have any reference points while working on the film?
"I didn't base my character on anyone in particular but, yes, I know for sure that teen pregnancy is quite common today. I have seen at least a couple of girls of my age going for abortion. They went through a painful experience not just physically but mentally too."
She is neither against teenage romance nor a physical relationship. But Sheena does insist on using protection.
"Use protection, otherwise you are gone. You may get carried away by a particular moment, but the least you could do to help yourself is be prepared."
For her, there is also "emotional protection" that plays a major role in teenagers being sensible in their affairs. Parents should be more attached to their children and give them warmth so that they don't have to step out and end up doing something that is not suitable for their age.
Luxury and riches aren't important enough; love and affection play major roles too," she said.
"If teenagers and parents are open about each other's feelings then there are less chances of them making mistakes.
God forbid, even if that happens then a good relationship would ensure that you are brave enough to face the situation rather than turn suicidal."
Made under the banner of Karol Bagh Film and Entertainment, which is owned by Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik and Manoj Mittal, "Teree Sang" is produced by Bharat Shah.

Cat-fight: Kareena says Priyanka has no Work to do
Well that conclusion was drawn by none other than Pritish Nandy, well known television personality and film producer and a member of Rajya Sabha. Apparently, he is involved in a major cat-fight with Kareena on Kambakkht Ishq...
Seems like, Pritish lost the last modicum of decency after watching the brain-less flick Kambakkht Ishq.
He has been telling the whole world what exactly he thinks of Kareena, and her ‘acting skills in KI’ via Twitter, he didn’t mince words as he says, "Why don't you see what she looked like in Chameli and compare it with KI (Kambakkht Ishq).
Chameli was a real woman, a beautiful woman. She was stunning. Kareena looked like a dream in those days. Today she is a joke. ”
Not to be left behind Kareena spat back, "Some people have too much time to blog and talk about others so much. I don't even have time to check my computer for my e-mails. I am constantly working that just goes to show that I am more focused on my career. ”
From here on, it just keeps getting interesting as Pritish Nandy took major offence, and went on a rant on how he is busier than Kareena as he works 20 hours a day and still replies to all his twitter fans; he appealed his fans to defend him.Pritish a well-known producer bit back, he says, ” Kareena has slammed me on front page of DNA today for my saying that she looked hot in Chameli, not in KI. Views?

Yanking Piggy Chops into the catfight, Pritish says via Twitter, ”Kareena claims those on Twitter (read me, Priyanka Chopra) have no work. So they pass comments on others? You agree with her? Kareena busier than me?”
Now that’s a smart move.

Katrina going away from Salman for a Month!

Katrina Kaif is finally free to go on her month-long holiday.On Sunday July 12, three days ahead of her birthday, she leaves for the family holiday that she has been craving for in London. The entire Kaif clan will gather together in London and then proceed to an undisclosed destination in Italy for a family holiday.
“We net-searched, googled and finally found a place we wanted to visit, ” giggles Bollywood’s most googled girl. “It was tough because there was no place the entire family would agree on. Or if we all liked a place there was no vacancy. We finally found a place that we all liked.”
Italy is a favourite spot. And Katrina is often mistaken to be Italian. But those are not the only reasons why she’s looking forward to the month-long holiday.This would be the longest time when Katrina would be away from Salman Khan and his family. And probably a time when she would do some serious rethinking about her life.
Says Katrina, “Quite honestly I haven’t been with my whole family for a long time. I’ve been preparing for my holiday for ages. I’ve been working like a mad woman trying to finish all my work on time. It got specially hectic as the time for me to leave approached.
I was dubbing for Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani and shooting two songs for Priyan’s De Dana Dan. At one point I thought I wouldn’t finish on time. But I did. And I’m really looking forward to my time with my family.”
Katrina returns to Mumbai on 15 August, more than a month later. Her birthday plans are a surprise even to herself.

Katrina should not Marry Salman says Astrologer
The gorgeous Katrina Kaif brings in her birthday on July 16. Celebrity astro numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi predicts what’s in store for her in days to come.
Katrina was born on the 16th July, 1984 which makes her a Number 7 person in numerology. She is a Cancerian (ruler Moon and Neptune – Numbers 2 and 7) and her destiny number adds up to Number 9 (Mars). Being ruled by Number 7, she is also ruled by Number 2. Numbers 2 and 7 always goes hand in hand.
“ Katrina will be entering her 26th year (2 + 6 = 8 ) which indicates health issues, although it will not affect her to that extent because the year 2009 (2 + 0 + 0 + 9 = 11 = 1 + 1 = 2 ) which adds up to No.2 is one of her best numbers and would do some damage control. Towards 2010 in ‘Rajniti’ where is rumored to have played the role of Sonia Gandhi, she will be getting mixed reviews for her performance but the film shall do well at the ticket window” adds Bhavikk.
“On the personal front, Katrina will not marry Salman and if she does, then it will not last long. They both are completely different people. Salman is a Number 9 (27th Dec.1965) ruled by Mars (No.9), No.8 (Saturn – Capricorn) and No.6 (Venus).
They share Number 9 in common but nothing else. Nos.7 and 9 do not gel well with difference of opinion being the main negative aspect. They both are different people with no similar ideologies but can be friends for sure.
In nutshell, there is no great compatibility between the two and Katrina should avoid taking Salman too seriously. Rather, Katrina should not even think of marriage till July 2011” informs Bhavikk.
