Madhuri Dixit entering Broadway show!

It's been a while since Bollywood's 'dhak dhak' girl Madhuri Dixit was last seen on the big screens but she is still alive in the minds of the people. The good news is that Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan is planning to produce a Broadway show based on historical dancer Amrapali, with Madhuri in the lead role.

Saroj said that they are planning to start a Broadway show based on Amrapali, as she is very famous abroad. He added that Madhuri will play the main character if all goes as planned. The talks are still on. Feroze Khan will direct it and Javed Akhtar will provide the lyrics.

It may be recalled that Saroj was behind Madhuri's hit dance numbers like “Ek Do Teen” from Tezaab, “Chane Ke Khet” from Anjaam and “Dola Re” from Devdas. He has also worked with Sridevi and Karisma Kapoor. Advertisement

Aishwarya Rai loses to Madhuri Dixit

Both Aishwarya Rai and Madhuri Dixit proved to be excellent dancers when they danced together on ‘Dola Re’ for ‘Devdas’. But, now it seems Madhuri Dixit has won the race for the seat of the judge at a dance reality show. Rumors have it that both the beauties were being considered for judging ‘Dance Premier League’ with several Bollywood stars.

However, Aishwarya lost out to Madhuri as she quoted an exorbitant amount of money. The makers of the show couldn’t afford her and the opportunity fell into Madhuri’s favor as she had demanded an affordable price.

Madhuri’s long time friend and manager did not reveal much about it and simply said, “The discussion is still on.”

However, Danish Khan, the VP marketing of the entertainment channel acknowledged the truth and said, “Yes, Madhuri has been chosen to represent one of the teams.”

“I don’t want to talk about the money involved but Madhuri is definitely on board for Dance Premier League,” he added.

Our say- It is high time that the Bachchan Bahu realizes that she may definitely be one of the most beautiful faces of our tinsel town but with age taking a toll and fresh and promising faces entering the industry she has to accept some realities. Advertisement
