Celina Jaitley's bed scene hits Censor hurdle

Stretching close to two minutes, the steamy lovemaking scene between Celina Jaitley and co-star Abhimanyu Singh in the upcoming movie Accident On Hill Road has hit a hurdle at Censor Board.

The movie, slated to release on December 31, has been given an ‘A’ (Adults Only) certificate and director Mahesh Nair has been asked to chop the 1-minute-50-secs long lovemaking scene which the filmmaker says is crucial to the film’s plot.

In the scene, Abhimanyu takes Celina to bed, removes her stockings and caresses her for a good one minute before making love to her. Nair says the scene is important to establish the smouldering chemistry between the two characters.

The Censor Board, however, has raised three objections: 1. Abhimanyu removing Celina’s stockings. 2. Too much fondling and canoodling between the two. 3. The length of the love scene.

But Mahesh Nair is crying fowl and accusing the Board of bias. He says that many other films featuring kisses, smooches and gory violence have been cleared by the Censor but the board is coming too hard on his film even though it doesn’t have a lip lock between Celina and Abhimanyu.

Bollywood actress Celina ventures into her past life to find out the root cause of her excruciating stomach pain.

The doe-eyed actor Celina Jaitley has been suffering from an unexplainable recurring stomach pain since childhood. The pain she experiences lasts for days together until she can move again without any restraint. Despite consulting various doctors and undergoing various medical tests, the root cause of the problem could not be detected. She saw herself as a soldier at war and had joined the army as she was very poor. It was in this war where she died succumbing to a shrapnel injury on the left side of her stomach. What amazed her is that the side where she was injured in her past life is where she feels the pain even today. Another shocking discovery was that she also saw her brother and mother as friends and family in her past life.

Says Celina Jaitley on her experience post the regression, 'Raaz Pichhle Janam Ka' has been a life-turning experience for me. I have always wondered about the phenomenon of past life and have read a lot of books on the same. During my regression, I went back into 3 different lifetimes, which upon researching came up with shocking and apt tallies. It's an experience I will never forget."

Director experiments with Celina Jaitley!

After functioning as the helper director to B-Town’s leading dark filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma, Mahesh Nair is now all set to create a mark as a director with his film ‘Accident On Hill Road’. Motivated by the daily accidents that occur on Mumbai roads, the director Nair has not only narrated a true confrontation, but also has challenged himself by casting Celina Jaitley in a never seen before avatar.

Says the director, “I like to experiment, and so I cast Celina for this intense role. It will be a pleasant surprise to see her in a not so glamorous role with a short haircut.”“With her is a superb theater artiste, Abhimanyu Singh, who was earlier seen in ‘Gulaal’ and the most qualified of them all Mr. Farooq Shaikh.

The film is ready for release on the 31st of this month (31 December 2009) and I am only awaiting the censor certificate, ” signs off Nair.

Celina Jaitley ’shocked’ on getting Best Actor award

Celina Jaitly was in for a shock when her name was announced as a Best Female Actor for her English film Love Has No Language in the recently held Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF). While she was busy clapping for other actors and film makers who were being called on stage to be conferred awards, she was clueless that she had been nominated as a Best Actor as well.”I was invited for the event as a guest of honour.Since I am also an Egyptian tourism ambassador, it was double the reason for me to be present in the event. I knew that my film Love Has No Language had been a New Zealand entry for the film festival which saw entries from across the globe. However, I was in for a shock when I was called to come on stage.

I was frozen on my seat for a while and didn’t know how to react”, says Celina who has since returned to India over the weekend.Some of the other prominent Bollywood personalities who came back home with awards were Madhur Bhandarkar, Irrfan Khan and Boney Kapoor.On the D-day, Celina did make quite a few heads turn though. She got an outfit exclusively created for the event and wore a Neeta Lulla creation – a multi-hued Indo-Egyptian gown. Meanwhile this is not the last that Celina has seen of Cairo International Film Festival. From next year on, she would also be a member of honorary jury. “This is definitely thrilling and a great honour”, comments Celina.Talking about Love Has No Language, the film is directed by Kahn Khan and stars New Zealand actor Ben Mitchell along with Rati Agnihotri and Kiran Kumar.

The film has already been released in New Zealand. However, it won’t arrive in India. “No, it won’t see a theatrical release here,” sighs Celina, “However, it would be available on DVD soon.”Nonetheless, Celina is happy with one of the first major awards coming her way. What has also been the icing on the cake is the fact that the journey for her has begun on an international platform.”I am glad to be a part of films like Love Has No Language. It means a lot to me and appreciation like this is just timely because it further instills confidence in you as an actor”, says Celina who would soon be seen in an author backed role of a central protagonist in Accident on Hill Road which releases on 18th December.

Celina Jaitley Becomes a Bhartiya Nari

Bollywood glam gal Celina Jaitley seems to have made up her mind to shed her sexy image and transform into a Bhartiya Nari. Well believe it or not Celina who has a large fan base due to her small clothes is all set to leave her skimpy clothes and wear a saree.
