Shilpa wants to be a mother quickly

After a big fat wedding, Shilpa Shetty expressed her heart felt desire to be a mother soon. When quizzed about the question of motherhood, the newly wedded actress said, “Oh yes! I certainly want to be a mother. I can’t wait to start our family”.Shilpa was very happy the way she was wedded as she has cherished the dream of her wedding for a long time.

She planned to get married once in her lifetime and always wished to be one of its kinds. Last week was the most happiest and tiring period of Shilpa Shetty’s life.When she was asked about relocating to London, Shilpa said that she is not shifting her base to London permanently but will have two homes in two countries. She added that she is yet to know Raj’s relatives and friends circle.

She is planning to start her own production company and so there is no question of shifting her base to London permanently.

Shilpa increases gold prices in India!

There is a joke going on around at the Dalal Street, that gold prices are soaring because of Shilpa Shetty. The Bollywood actress seems to have purchased half the gold in India for her marriage. Jokes apart, Shilpa seemed to have bought a lot of the precious yellow metal and got designer Tarun Tahiliani to fashion a dress out of it.

If her wedding dress had make the world take a note of it, Shilpa was in no mood to take it easy during the wedding reception.Shilpa set ablaze the banquet hall when she arrived hand in hand with hubby Raj Kundra. The sizzling Shilpa donned a contemporary styled ghagra choli sexily draped around her awesome figure.

Raj insisted on not inviting Akshay

Akshay Kumar and Twinkle were not part of the 30-odd B-Town folk invited to the Shilpa Shetty-Raj Kundra wedding reception last night. Says a source, “The newly-weds didn’t want to be in an embarrassing situation and thought it best not to invite Akki and Tina. Akshay and Shilpa were romantically involved over a decade ago and while they were dating, there was talk of marriage.

However, Akki married Tina and a heartbroken Shilpa had to move on. In fact, Raj was firm about Akshay not being invited for the reception.”The source adds that though Shilpa and Akshay met and sorted out their differences a few years ago things again turned awkward after a British tabloid report. “Akshay was livid over a ‘funny’ story which had come out in The News of the World in 2007 after Shilpa had won the UK celebrity show Big Brother.

A furious Akshay had even threatened to sue the tabloid. Last year, the actor had even showed up for the finale of Bigg Boss 2, which Shilpa had anchored. They appeared at ease with each together.”

Akshay Kumar causes havoc during Shilpa’s wedding

Ex-flames and former lovers can really be BIG trouble when you get married. More so if you have a less than cordial relationship with the one in question. Trust Juicy Mausi on this one. Look for example what happened at Shilpa Shetty’s wedding the other day in Lonavla.So there we were all excited to see Shilpa babes all ready to tie the knot (finally!) with Raj Kundra. Everybody is having a wonderful time at the venue in Lonavla. I for instance was just putting the final coat of my MAC lip colour in rich plum when I heard it.

GAWD! I couldn’t believe my ears when the melodious strains of a Shilpa Shetty number floated up from the brass band downstairs. Trust me, the song was nice, and the band did not do an altogether bad work at it. The fact that the song was from a film that starred Akshay Kumar apart from Shetty girl is what made it cacophony.So, after dropping my lipstick in shock, my feet took root as I stood in anticipation of what would happen next. They must’ve played the song from Dhadkan for less than a minute when a handful of non-descript people rushed out of the house and asked them to stop playing it. Then is exactly when I fell on the floor laughing.

Well, the situation was undeniably funny though a little embarrassing perhaps for the bride and the groom. The bandwallahs, poor guys, were told to stop playing Akshay Kumar songs. They in fact were asked to stop playing altogether until someone took a look at the list of songs to be played. WOW! Everything was fine after that and the fairy tale wedding took place. I was really happy for Shilpa and would have even shed a few drops of tear if I hadn’t been wearing my latest glitter liner. It’s not waterproof!

However, Akki did make his presence felt at the wedding. Not in person of course. He was NOT invited. But through his songs. The thought of Shilpa just kept me from laughing again!

Shilpa Shetty enters into wedlock with Raj

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty entered wedlock with her businessman beau Raj Kundra on Nov 22 at her close friend Kiran Bawa’s farmhouse in Khandala. The wedded couple took vows in attendance of close friends and relatives. Shilpa’s family gave a grand reception to the baraati and Raj drove to Shilpa’s doorstep in a chariot.Everything went very well. All parents want their children to get married happily and that goes the same for Shilpa’s parents as well. They are very happy,’ said Kiran Bawa, Shilpa’s friend and business partner, after the wedding said, ‘Raj and Shilpa both were very nervous before the marriage but now they are happy. We are going straight to Raj’s house in Mumbai,’ she added.

Both Shilpa and Raj were looking the perfect bride and bridegroom with their designer outfit. Designer by Tarun Tahiliani dressed up Shilpa with a lehenga type saree with diamonds and emeralds flaunting over it. The groom has been sported with a maroon sherwani with golden embroidery and a turban with his face veiled by a sehra (string of pearls). He was holding a sword in his hand as per Indian tradition.The couple will at first hold a reception in Mumbai where Bollywood bigwigs are expected to grace the occasion and later they will held a reception in London.After the post-marriage rituals, the newly wedded couple will leave for honeymoon in Bahamas.

Shilpa Shetty’s wedding jewelry worth Rs 3 crore

Shilpa Shetty is going to embark into a new life with her beau Raj Kundra and like any other bride; she too wants to look gorgeous like a fairy. To make Shilpa beautiful, designer Tarun Tahiliani has designed a special saree that worth Rs 50 lakh. Shilpa’s jewelry also costs Rs 3 crore. During Mehendi, the bride chose to wear Kaftan instead of lehenga or saree and for the sangeet she wore Anarkali churidar-kurta. The wedding attire will see Shilpa in a traditional Bunt saree colored burgundy and red. For the reception to be held on Tuesday, Shilpa will wear a saree resemblance to a gown with 8,000 crystal work over it.

Raj will wear a black sherwani for the reception.Confirms designer Nikhil Mehra, “Raj is wearing a black short sherwani and trousers. The sherwani has a lot of textures, applique and patterns, and muted Swarovski embroidery and crystals.”He further adds, “Raj has picked up two to three more outfits from us, but I don’t know if he will be wearing them for the wedding. Raj is a very well-travelled man and the best thing about him is that he knows exactly what he wants.”

Both Shilpa and Raj are very excited about the wedding. The wedding will take place today at Shilpa’s close friend farmhouse in Khandala.

Shilpa Shetty refuses offer of 50 lakhs

Her stint with Britain’s reality show celebrity ‘Big Brother’ has given Shilpa Shetty a celebrity status there. It is evident from the fact that a leading magazine from UK was interested in exclusive rights of her marriage with millionaire Raj Kundra.The Hello magazine from UK has offered a deal of 75000 Pound (approx Rs.50 Lakhs) for exclusive rights of her marriage coverage, but it is learnt that Shilpa has refused this offer. Sources claim that Shilpa was uncomfortable with the conditions laid down by the magazine. A source close to Shilpa says, “It’s the first time when an Indian actress has been offered so much money for coverage of an event.

This is more than what Aishwarya Rai was offered for her wedding.Shilpa is a big celebrity in the UK and Raj Kundra too is a well-known industrialist, so they were keen to cover this wedding.”She even avoided getting married in Raj’s opulent 10 million-pound mansion at Surrey in UK to stay away from the paparazzi.Source says that the clauses in the contract offered by the international magazine said that no other photographers would be allowed being at the event. Also they didn’t want any of the guests to carry their cell phones in case someone leaked the pictures to other media. And Shilpa wasn’t comfortable with both these conditions.”

At the Elizabeth Hurley wedding, guests were frisked and their cell phones were taken away by the representatives of the magazine, and Shilpa didn’t want her guests to face a similar situation. Also, she is not looking to make money on this wedding.It is a sacred and a beautiful occasion for her, and she doesn’t want any bad energy around.

What`s with Bollywood actresses marrying married men?

When Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty walks down the aisle to marry London-based businessman Raj Kundra this month, she will be following in the footsteps of Hema Malini, Sridevi and Raveena Tandon - actresses who famously entered into wedlock with men who had been married earlier.
Shilpa met millionaire Kundra, 34, shortly after she found fame in Britain by winning the international reality series "Celebrity Big Brother" two years ago. Now she is marrying him Nov 22 at a private ceremony to be attended by close friends and family.

Kundra was already separated when he met Shilpa, but his estranged wife Kavita publicly blamed the actress for the break-up of the marriage. However, Shilpa was adamant she would date him only after he was officially separated.

"To be honest, I think I was in love with Raj from day one but I was in denial. I made it clear to him that our relationship could go no further than friendship until he actually had his divorce," the Daily Mail online had once quoted her as saying.

"It actually made me feel physically ill. To be called a marriage-breaker was the worst thing possible. It brought such shame on to my parents, and I felt so bad for their sake," she added.

In the past, many actresses have found love in successful married men - who may or may not have been separated from their first wives.

Even though yesteryear star Dharmendra was married to Prakash Kaur and had four children with her - two daughters and sons Sunny and Bobby Deol - Bollywood `dreamgirl` Hema Malini got romantically involved with him. Dharmendra converted to Islam to wed the actress in 1980. They have two daughters - Esha and Ahana.

Bollywood`s former cabaret queen Helen also fell for screenwriter Salim Khan, who was married to Salma Khan (original name was Sushila Charak). Though he had four children from Salma - Salman, Sohail, Arbaaz and Alvira - he married Helen in 1980 and adopted a daughter named Arpita.

Even Sridevi tied the knot with film producer Boney Kapoor, with whom she did films like "Lamhe" and "Mr. India". Boney, the elder brother of Anil Kapoor, was married with two kids before he married Sridevi in 1996.

Raveena Tandon also decided to wed film distributor Anil Thadani, who was married to Natasha Sippy. It was reported that the actress had once lost her cool at Thadani`s former wife upon seeing Natasha trying to get too close to her husband at a New Year`s party in 2006.

Popular actress Karisma Kapoor also entered into matrimony with a divorcee - Delhi-based businessman Sanjay Kapur. Mahima Chaudhary also wed architect Bobby Mukherjee, who was earlier married with two kids.

These days, a prominent actress dating a divorcee is Kareena Kapoor. With Saif Ali Khan, she makes for one of Bollywood`s most talked about couples. My wedding date has been finalised: Shilpa Shetty

Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty says that her wedding date has been finalised, but she will announce it only when her sister Shamita is by her side.
"I know everyone`s eager to know about the wedding date. All I can say is yes it`s been finalised and I will make an official announcement as soon as I know when Shamita`s coming out," Shilpa, who got engaged to London-based Raj Kundra Saturday after a courtship of about two years, posted on her blog.

Shamita is currently participating in the Colors` reality show "Bigg Boss 3". She is locked in the house with 10 more inmates and has no connection with the world outside.

Shilpa says she missed her sister.

"It`s been a time of both joy and sorrow for me. The joy is obvious because Raj and I feel happy to take our relationship to the next level, but as most of you know my sister Shamita is still in the `Bigg Boss` house and could not attend. She doesn`t even know.

"The date was decided a week ago and we all came to the consensus that we should go ahead because another good mahurat (auspicious time) was a long way off. And considering Raj`s parents and relatives were down from London for a week, so it seemed convenient," she wrote.

"I wanted to have Shamita there during this special moment, but I had to be considerate towards Raj`s family too. So for all those who wanted to know why I went ahead without Shamita, it was a difficult decision but this is the answer."

Shilpa admits that when her sister comes out of "Bigg Boss" house, the news of the engagement will shock her.

"I know Shamita will be shocked... she`ll kill me. Missed her more than words can describe but I`m sure she`ll understand! Can`t wait to show her my ring," she wrote.

So far Shilpa has not commented on her sister`s stay in "Bigg Boss" house. But now she says that she is proud of Shamita.

"I`ve never commented on what I think of her in there, but just want to say she`s been the pampered baby in our house. It made our whole family so proud to see her have no airs and do all the chores with no qualms," wrote Shilpa who won the British reality show "Celebrity Big Brother" in 2007.

"She`s never cooked in her life and I saw her make rotis. I felt terrible watching her cry on TV, but I am amazed to see her growth on the show. This will definitely make her a stronger person. So proud of the way she`s conducting herself with so much dignity." Advertisement

Shilpa Shetty to get engaged today

Bollywood’s hot actor Shilpa Shetty is going to be all taken and officially engaged to her London-based beau Raj Kundra, who she has been dating ever since she stepped out of the Big Brother’s house. According to reports Raj popped up the question to Shilpa this Diwali and the Chura Key Dil Mera girl happily agreed. Reports suggest that Saturday being a lucky day according to the Hindu calendar, the couple has therefore decided to go ahead with the ceremony and celebrations at Raj Kundra’s Juhu residence on October 24.The not so good news is that Shilpa’s sister Shamita will have to probably miss out on big sister’s grand moment considering she is in the Bigg Boss house.

Shilpa Shetty, hot and sexiest actress in bollywood has announced plans to “dish out the poppadoms” to Britons. Poppadom or Papadum, often shortened to paapad. Shilpa who was called as Poppadom by Jade Goody in a reality television programme in January 2007.

Shilpa Shetty launches her own line of Ready to Eat Food, as she has acquired a stake of 33 percent in a UK based Restaurant Group and she has taken up this new venture with businessman fiance Raj Kundra.

Shilpa has acquired the stake in V8 Gourmet group which is one of the biggest Indian restaurant groups in the UK

Shilpa Shetty launches her own line of Ready to Eat Food

Shilpa is all set to dish out a range of low-fat readymeals, chutneys, pickles and poppadoms are also added that will be sold in British supermarkets from 2010.
