Shahrukh won't lick Aamir's feet any more

Remember the infamous blog that Aamir Khan wrote, about a dog named Shahrukh Khan in his Panchgani bungalow licking his feet. Well, Shahrukh can heave a sigh of relief as that dog won't lick Aamir's feet again. Recently Shahrukh the dog moved out of Aamir's bungalow with its caretaker who is no longer employed by Aamir Khan. Since the dog had been taken care off by the caretaker it also went out along with him.

The dog blog had widened the rift between Shahrukh and Aamir and many of Perfectionist Khan's fans had also felt it was in bad taste. In it Aamir had written “Shahrukh is licking my feet and I am feeding him biscuits every now and then. What more can I ask for?” He had also added “Shahrukh is smelling too much, I think he needs a bath.” Shahrukh's fans had reacted strongly after which the dog was renamed Shahki to avoid any more controversies.

Recently, Aamir had apologised to Shahrukh's kids after hearing that they had felt hurt by what Aamir had written in his blog. Reacting to that Shahrukh had appreciated Aamir's sense of humour saying he himself had a good one. The two had recently bonded during the premiere of 3 Idiots and the movie even carried the trailer

SRK is always one step ahead of Aamir

If Aamir Khan can go all out to endorse 3 Idiots, will SRK lag following? Aamir’s promotional strategy had floored everyone. So, SRK went ahead and released the first look of My Name Is Khan (MNIK) at the opening of the super Hollywood flick, Avtaar, by James Cameron.But King Khan insists he isn’t copying Aamir for the promotion of his film that has been directed by his friend Karan Johar.Talking about Aamir’s promotional strategy and his own for MNIK, he said: “Everyone has their own ideas and plans. I wouldn’t like to do so (what Aamir did) and reduce my film to anything (like a gimmick but he didn’t exactly use the word). I don’t really think about someone else’s film.

Aamir is a good- thinking person, so he must know what he is doing. And I estimate the idea must be in sync with his film’s plot too. I think everybody should market the film in the way the film speaks or is. Of course, the more innovative its promotions the better. MNIK is a love story at the core and we will market it that way. For rest, you will have to wait and watch.” 20th Century Fox will showcase MNIK’s trailer with all its prints universal and it will get a much wider exposure. “I am really thankful to them for doing so. It’s a first for a Hindi film. Fox Star Studios’ is distributing the movie and they will be a big help in increasing our market by making bigger films,” said Shah Rukh.

MNIK will also be showcased in the Berlin Film Festival and Karan is thrilled about it. Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Karan will be present at the festival, which is from February 11 to February 21. Unproven reports claimed Fox bought the film for Rs 100 crore and plans to release it with over 600 prints world over. It will assurance the widest release ever for a Hindi film.

How Aamir Khan got dumped by Hirani

Ever since Aamir Khan saw Munnabhai MBBS he had been keen on working with Rajkumar Hirani. And now his dream has been fulfilled with the forthcoming 3 Idiots. But not many people know that Hirani had planned another venture keeping Aamir in mind.Immediately after Munnabhai MMBS, Aamir asked Hirani to pen something for him.Hirani came up with the idea of making a film on Mahatma Gandhi.

The director wanted Aamir to play a freedom fighter who wakes up from a coma and hallucinates about the Mahatma.But it seems Hirani found the subject too preachy and wrote an alternate idea of replacing the freedom fighter with Munna and Circuit.When Hirani narrated both the ideas to Aamir, the actor himself felt that Lage Raho Munnabhai was a better idea.

And voluntarily opted out. In a strange way Hirani managed to reject Aamir without even offending him. But who knows, had Aamir persisted with Hirani’s other plot we might have seen an all-together different spin on Gandhigiri.

Aamir didn’t have to apologise: SRK

It seems that Shah Rukh Khan has buried the hatchet with Aamir Khan ever since the Ghajini star apologised to his children for making fun of him. Shah Rukh said he has no hard feelings towards his colleague.”We often visit each other’s home and we have love and respect for each other. I don’t think there was any need for him to apologise because, it is not really a big thing for me.Both of us don’t take these things seriously, but it is the media that exaggerates the whole situation,” Shah Rukh said via tele-conference Thursday from Mumbai.

Aamir tendered an apology to Shah Rukh’s kids for hurting their sentiments before taking a pot shot at the latter when he addressed his wife Kiran in front of the media as “Kkk… Kiran” – a style made famous by Shah Rukh in his 1993 hit Darr.”I’ve offered my heartfelt apologies to Shah Rukh’s kids, not to Shah Rukh but to his kids,” Aamir had recently said. The two superstars have often taken digs at each other.

Aamir and SRK join hands for Paa’s sake

Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan have reportedly decided to forget their rivalry for the sake of Paa. Yes, come December and the supposedly warring Khans will join hands for the premiere of R. Balki’s Amitabh Bachchan-starrer in Mumbai. Confirming the good news, Big B writes on his blog: “Aamir and Shah Rukh have both assured me of their presence there, today, as I begin to send out letters and requests to block the said date from the industry.” On the other hand, the London and Dubai premieres of Paa have been cancelled. “Several issues have cropped up and it would not be prudent to go ahead with it, under such uncertain pressures and circumstances.

But Mumbai (premiere) is on … at IMAX Wadala on the 3rd of December,” Bachchan senior’s blog further informs.He is also gearing up to organise Bachchan Sandhya as a tribute to his late father, poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan.”Along with this (Paa premiere) is the preparation for November 28 and the ‘Bachchan Sandhya’ at the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan. (I am busy with) the arrangements, the invitees, the programme and its functions, rehearsals for the recitation and getting the family to gear up for its participation,” Bachchan adds.

Aamir and the Bachchans have been busy promoting their movies. Aamir’s muchawaited 3 Idiots will release on December 24.

Has Kareena put Aamir on a higher pedestal?

After Farah Khan’s support for Akshay Kumar, it is time for yet another close friend of Shah Rukh Khan to show her open appreciation for one of his biggest rivals in Bollywood — Aamir Khan.This time the person in question is Kareena Kapoor. It is at this juncture that she called Aamir the emperor of Bollywood.”The insider added, “Everyone knows that Kareena shares a great equation with Shah Rukh. They are friends first, then colleagues or co-stars. For years they have been really close and they still are.

Though Kareena called Aamir the emperor, we are sure she didn’t want to put either Shah Rukh or Aamir on a higher or a lower pedestal. With the relationship she shares with Shah Rukh, she would never do that.It must have been just an expression that she did not even think over before saying. It was a casual comment. But still, these days with camps existing in the industry, even such harmless comments can be read with the intention of reading between the lines.”

Aamir, Kareena praise each other like idiots

It seems Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, who act together for the first time in 3 Idiots directed by Rajkumar Hirani, just can’t have enough of each other.
