Amisha Patel patches up with her parents

Bollywood actress Amisha Patel has not met her parents since their ugly fall-out a few years ago. However, the parents-daughter seem to have patched up, as they met after a long time.

It is said that Amisha and her boyfriend Kanav Puri met her parents at a mehendi ceremony of a cousin on December 1. Sources also said that she went to her mother Asha's residence and spent time with her family and relatives, as it was Asha's birthday.

It maybe recalled that Amisha had a public fight with her parents five years ago, accusing them of misusing her money. Their relationship worsened after her parents didn't approve her relationship with filmmaker Vikram Bhatt. But after having gone through some rough patches, including break up with Vikram, Amisha seems to have learned her lessons.

Amisha Patel chooses family over beau

An ailing Amisha cancels London trip to meet beau but will attend a wedding in the family. Amisha Patel, who has been down with a bad attack of gastroenteritis has cancelled her two-week trip to meet beau Kanav Puri in London – for a wedding in the family. Says the actress, “I was supposed to go to London last week but was terribly ill. Also, I have to attend a family wedding on November 29. My maternal cousin Priyanka is getting married. My relatives from all over the world will be coming to attend the function.

So now Kanav is flying down for the wedding. He will be here for five days.”Amisha says Kanav was very understanding when she told him she was unable to travel to London. “Kanav has an important deal happening but he will fly down in time for the wedding. In fact, my cousins are thrilled that he’s coming. Kanav had met them in London when Priyanka was shopping for her trousseau and they are all very close to him.”

Amisha adds, “It will be a big fat Sindhi wedding — like the kind Yash Chopra shows in his films. On November 29, there will be a youngsters’ party and I will dress up for it in a pink Versace number as it’s a pink-and-white theme. Neeta Lulla and her daughter Nishka are doing my lehengas, saris and salwar kameez for the function.”

Amisha Patel Beats Aish & Kareena

I was just recallign the fact that Ammesha Patel deos not have anthng going for her right now. She is not at the top or even close. But Ameesha has accomplished something that Kareena, Priyanka, Katrina, Deepika, and maybe even Aishwarya Rai have not and may never. She has TWO ALL TIME BLOCKBUSTERS to her name. Kaho Na Pyaar Hain and Gadar. Gadar is one of the biggest hits in the History of Hindi Cinema. SHe was considered the lucky mascot of Bollywood. Not many actresses can say that they have acted in two-let alone one All-time Blockbuster. Kareena has not delivered an all time blockbuster in her decade long career, and proabbaly wont ever. Priyanka I doubt it. Aish still doesn't have an All-time blockbuster- the cloest she comes is with Devdas which is superhit-to Blockbuster.Ameesha is ahead of all the actresses of this generation in that sense.
If she had acted in these two All-time blockbusters today, she would have a string of endorsements and films with big heroes. If a Sonam Kapoor can be relevant today after two flops, then im sure Amisha would have attained superstar status if those films released today. I really feel that she is very underrated.

Amisha Patel gives out bikes and Computers to Pune Toppers

Ameesha Patel was invited by an educational trust in Pune to felicitate the board toppers from the region. The actress who's a gold medalist in economics was chosen because of her interest in academics.
The trust thought she was the right person to encourage students about the importance of education. The actress distributed computers, and motorbikes to the students who topped the merit list in classes X and XII.
Talking about her initiative Ameesha says, "We gave the boys the motorbikes and the girls mopeds. I think it's important to encourage and felicitate those who excel in their studies cause it sends across the right signal. There were around 5,000 people present at the event. Mostly kids along with their parents had come to attend the function."

The actress doesn't like the fact that most people consider actors to be uneducated, "This perception is all around the world that those in the glamour industry, especially actors are not well-educated, intelligent, or knowledgeable. But look at the top actors Shah Rukh, Aamir, they are all where they are today because of their intelligence. I think it's important that students understand the importance of education."

Ameesha hopes that the computers and bikes make life simpler for the students, "Most of these kids come from distant places and for them commuting is a huge issue. Hence I hope they use the bikes to travel to their colleges, and make sure they drive safely." Advertisement
