Katrina kaif is Jobless!

She may be one of the most sough after actresses in the industry, but believe it or not Katrina Kaif has no films on her hand after Prakash Jha's Raajneeti. The actress who is currently in London after undergoing an appendix surgery has no project officially on her hand. There are rumours that Katrina is calling all the producers and directors from her contact list to consider her for their next projects but hasn't been able to strike any deal as yet.

There is buzz around the tinsel town that Katrina could have easily got a role in Farah Khan's Tees Maar Khan which stars her favourite co-star Akshay Kumar but the the role has been offered to Sonam Kapoor. There are rumours that Akshay insisted on working
with a new face in Tees Maar Khan which has left Katrina with no projects and plenty of time to kill. We wonder what her beau Salman Khan is doing? Advertisement

Salman Khan by the side of unwell Katrina

The rumours of Katrina Kaif calling off her association with her long time boyfriend Salman Khan seems to be now a creation of thoughts of some idle brains, as they were like indivisible souls at a time when they need each other. Salman has been with Katrina all the time, as she is not in good health. It is said that Katrina was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital after irritable of abdominal hurt.

She is said to have gone through operation after being diagnosed with appendix.Sources said that Salman was in the hospital along with his mother Salma and sisters when the operation was done. Salman even posed for photographs with the hospital staffs after much persistence. It shows that the Khan family considers Katrina as its family unit. It may be recalled that Katrina has been in bad health for quite sometime now.

She was recently diagnosed with jaundice and low haemoglobin count. She braved it and performed at a show in Dubai and even attended a marriage of Salman’s family friend. Hard work seems to have taken a toll on her health. Well, Katrina should slow down her pace and take care of her health after getting well. After all, money, name and fame should come next to health.

Lover boy Ranbir smitten with sweetheart Katrina!

If two people frequently exchange smiles, calls, messages, gifts and bouquets, one can’t deny that romance is in the air. Well, to say it point blank, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif are behaving in a similar way these days. Fragile beauty Katrina, who has taken to bed owing to low hemoglobin count, is being showered with bouquets from Ranbir. According to sources, the actor has been very concerned and constantly keeps asking after her health.

Ranbir and Katrina’s romance began during the making of ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’. The crackling chemistry between the two was the talk-of-the-town. After the release of the film, Ranbir gifted something as personal as a pendant to Katrina, which shows the extent of his fascination with her.

Katrina had even visited Ranbir’s house and gelled with the family well. According to a source, she has worked with Ranbir’s dad in ‘Namastey London’, so there is a feeling of comfort. Ranbir is extremely close to his mom and doesn`t do anything she won`t approve. So getting her approval is extremely important for him.

Katrina turned down Salman’s offer

Salman Khan is well-known for his kindness but not many natives know that his much-awaited forthcoming project Veer was offered to his ladylove Katrina Kaif before it went to the kitty of newcomer Zarine Khan. Now if sources are to be believed, the pretty new face Zarine had been an assistant to Katrina Kaif for quite a long time.

Zarine has been paired opposite Salman and plays the pivotal role of Princess Yashodhara. Reliable source reveal, “Yes, Zarine was accessible the role after Katrina refused, due to date problems. Zarine had been an assistant to Kats for a while and now she is being launched by Salman.”

Now that’s what you call taking sweet payback from Kats. What do you say Salman? And wonder what Katrina too has to say on that?

Katrina shops from wayside stalls

She can make even a tacky dress look amazing. Katrina Kaif, the appealing eye-grabber, isn’t just into designer dresses. She also likes to pick up garments and fashion accessory like bags and ornaments from wayside shops. “I don’t believe in designer brands only. I shop at Linking path, and pick up cool tees and bags from the small roadside shops,” she is quoted as saying by a news network. Katrina was particularly seen in a lot of tees and short skirts while promoting her film Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani last month.

She began dressing casually in those days to look like her character in the film.Interestingly, in her next film Raajneeti she would be seen draped in saris. Reports say director Prakash Jha wants to shoot an item song for the film and Katrina has expressed her wish to do it. However, Jha isn’t enthused about roping Kat in for the number because she has a non-glam role in the film.

Katrina refuses to star opposite Hrithik

Bollywood hunk Hrithik Roshan has acted with almost every actress in the film industry but not with the happening Katrina Kaif, who has a string of hits under her belt. It would be a treat to see these talented actors together on the big screens but that’s not going to happen soon, as Katrina has refused to act with Hrithik.

The grapevine is abuzz with the news that Katrina refused to act opposite Hrithik in the sequel of the hit film Krrish. The reason she gave was that its shooting schedules clashed with that of Karan Johar’s Dostana sequel. Sources said that Rakesh Roshan decided to go for Deepika Padukone after Katrina turned down his offer.

Colors pays Rs 4.5 cr for Ranbir-Katrina

Television channel Colors seems to be on a eyeball-grabbing spree. After premiering the big-budget underwater caper Blue, it has reportedly acquired the first-satellite screening rights of this year’s money-spinner Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani as their year-ender whammy.The channel is learnt to have paid a whopping Rs 4.5 crore for it.”With Blue and Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani we wanted to enter the feature film slots with a bang.

So far we had desisted from showing feature films,” said a source from the channel. “Once we decided to show films, we had to grab eyeballs immediately. And to do so we needed films that would elicit instant reaction. Having got that with two new biggies, we’ll now settle down to telecast less recent films,” added the source.Unlike Blue which sank without a trace at the box office after its theatrical release October 16, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani is a hit.

But Ramesh Taurani, producer of Ajab…, says it won’t affect the film’s collection at the ticket window.”The satellite premiere of Ajab… is happening at December end which is two months after its theatrical release. The theatrical business nowadays is for four weeks, however successful the film,” said Taurani.

Katrina wants to move away from Salman

Katrina Kaif is on a house-hunting spree. Real estate sources from Bandra reveal that for the last few months, the actress has been searching for a ghar in Bandra area, that’s far away from Galaxy Apartments (Salman Khan’s residence) and closer to Krishna Raj (Ranbir Kapoor’s bungalow) The search for her dream home has become more frantic in the past few days, and she has visited nearly half a dozen buildings in that time.The actress is on the lookout for a 4BHK space that’s sea-facing. She has set aside a Rs 10 crore budget for the same.

A property broker confirms that Kaif had seen a few apartments in Bandra’s Carter Road and Pali Hill area. He is certain it won’t be long before she picks a place, “She wants a big house and her budget is also good. It won’t be a problem for her to find a good house. The only thing is she has to settle on one.”The search has been sporadic in the last few months because Kat often travels for her film and show commitments and recently, she even had a health scare and was bed-ridden for a few days. Private, please.

The actress currently lives in a 3-BHK flat at Waterfield Road in Bandra and which has allegedly been gifted to her by Salman.Kat admits to looking for a flat in Bandra over the last six months. When quizzed about why she wants to shift from her Waterfield Road flat she says, “I have always wanted a sea-facing flat in Bandra. It’s been one of my dreams to own a flat overlooking the sea. Also I want something a bit more secluded and private.”

Katrina passes away Salman’s Veer

The most confusing relationship of Bollywood is that of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif. They claim to be a couple for five years but a sword of confusion always hangs over their relationship. Whenever, they speak about their personal relationship, they sound very dull. It is very often reported that the couple has been broken up but Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif never went public about their relationship. Salman has been receiving accolades for his look and acting in ‘Veer’ but Katrina prefers to give it a miss. When quips about taking a glance at Salman’s ‘Veer’, Kat said that she has not yet seen ‘Veer’ promo.

Katrina married to BJP MLA?

In real life her marital status may still be single, but a fake certificate prepared in Indore suggests that Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif is the better half of local BJP MLA Ramesh Mendola.

A marriage certificate approved by Indore Municipal Corporation claims that the 24-year-old actress married the local MLA on December 2, 2008 and got the same registered with the civic body on December 11 the same year.

"The marriage certificate is totally fake and was not issued by the municipal body. It must be an act of some mischievous persons," IMC marriage registrar Dr Natwar Sarda told reporters. "It appears that somebody first scanned the IMC marriage certificate and then with the help of some software showed the bollywood actress and MLA as husband and wife," Sarda said.

The IMC has taken the issue seriously and will soon lodge a complaint with the police so that the persons who have done it can be booked for the crime. Advertisement

Katrina refuses to wish Aishwarya Rai Happy Birthday!

Yesterday afternoon, the usually affable Katrina Kaif made her displeasure apparent by flatly refusing to wish Salman Khan’s former girlfriend Aishwarya Rai on her birthday. That too on national television.Katrina was in the midst of giving television interviews with good friend Ranbir Kapoor for their film, Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani. During the course of one of the interviews at Mehboob Studios, a reporter suddenly asked Ranbir to give a sound byte to wish Aishwarya on her birthday. Ranbir gladly obliged by wishing Aishwarya warmly.

When the reporter asked Katrina to wish Aishwarya, Katrina told the reporter that she doesn’t need to wish the actress as Ranbir has already done the needful. Certainly a clever way of masking her vexation on being asked to wish Salman’s ex-girlfriend.As soon as the interview ended, Katrina, who had kept a tight check on her anger, stormed out of the studio floor and rushed into her vanity van. She refused to come out for 45 long minutes.

Guess she wanted some much-needed space to calm down. One thing is for sure, Katrina is slowly but surely learning that being one of the most successful actresses in Bollywood requires a healthy balance between friends and rivals.

Katrina keeps bumping into Shahrukh Khan

Katrina Kaif isn’t very pleased about the way media goes in overdrive to hyperbolize her encounters with Shahrukh Khan. The pretty belle frequently finds herself in the middle of B-Town gossips ever since her beau Salman Khan and SRK fought at her birthday party last year. Whenever she bumps into Shahrukh at a film event or a party, her loyalty to Salman is questioned. This has miffed Katrina, who thinks her meetings with SRK are overblown.

In just last few days alone, Katrina has faced a barrage of rumours after she bumped into SRK on two occasions – at a party by Subhash Ghai and another by Hrithik Roshan.Not willing to be drawn in the cold war between her boyfriend and SRK, Katrina continues to be on talking terms with SRK and doesn’t miss a chance to chat with him when the opportunity presents.

“Naturally, when we’re under the same roof, we will interact. Why make a fuss? Who wouldn’t want to associate with Shah Rukh or Karan Johar?” Katrina is quoted as saying by a news network. In fact, Katrina went on to say that she wants to work with Karan Johar in the future because he’s emerging as a producer who thinks ‘out of the box’.

Deepika asks Katrina to stop spreading rumours

The war between Deepika Padukone and Katrina Kaif seems to be becoming the hottest issue in tinsel town so much so that now the Shahrukh-Salman brawl is looking small in comparison to their cat fight. The two have been fighting over Ranbir Kapoor's closeness to Katrina during the shooting of Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahini. Deepika accepted that she felt insecure about her relationship especially after the rumour of Ranbir’s intimacy with Katrina.

Deepika also rubbished the rumours of her closeness with Farhan Akhtar with whom she is shooting for the movie Kartik Calling Kartik. She was shooting an intimate scene for the movie with Farhan when an uninvited Katrina landed on the sets. Deepika zeroed in on Katrina to have spread the rumours. Taking a dig at her she said it was very easy to figure out who had spread the rumours. Deepika and Ranbir had a fight Shabina Khan's party and Katrina was thought to be the reason behind it.
