Ranbir-Deepika’s split a blessing for Rocket Singh

They say no publicity is bad publicity. Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone must be having hard time with the jounos keep asking them about their alleged break-up, but it has turned out to be a blessing in disguise for Ranbir’s latest offering Rocket Singh – Salesman of the Year, where he acts with newcomer Shazahn Padamsee.

The makers of Rocket Singh didn’t promote the film aggressively and director Shimit Amin defended that it was to arouse curiosity amongst the public. But the truth is, a good opening requires good publicity however big a film is. Luckily, the break-up rumours of its lead actor with his girlfriend Deepika came handy.

Don’t know how true the splitting story is but it has surely pushed Ranbir into the minds of the people. Who knows if he deliberately refused to clarify the rumours, knowing that it would bring good fortune to his film.

Will Deepika get rid of her Ranbir tattoo?

Juicy Mausi is rather amused by this one. There was a time when the presence or absence of an engagement ring on a star’s finger made all the news. Now, it’s tattoos which decide whether a star couple is dating or not.And so it happened at an event that Deepika Padukone, who is fresh from her break-up with hot Ranbir Kapoor, was asked uncomfortable questions by the media – the best one being what she’s gonna do with the famous ‘RK’ tattoo on her nape.

Already a little awkward with break-up questions, Deepika chose to remain silent. After all, silence is golden. But not for the journos. They persisted with merciless questions, and the actress understandably snapped back. Poor Deepika! Methinks she should chill out a bit, and do what her Love Aaj Kal character did – have a break-up party! That should heal some wounds.

From Ranbir's hookup with Katrina Kaif to Deepika's over possessive nature there hasn't been a angle that hasn't been talked about. But the truth is that many factors played catalyst to the split, one of them being Ranbir's mother Neetu Singh. Deepika may have dated Ranbir but she could never become close to the Kapoors.

Deepika and Neetu were always known to share cold vibes and Neetu had never been too happy about her son's choice. It may be recalled that earlier in the year Neetu had said that Deepika was just another girlfriend in her son's life. The actress of the yesteryears had also said that both of them were young and marriage was a long way to go and it was also not sure if they would stick to each other. Well it seems like Neetu's words have come true in less than a year. Advertisement

Deepika-Ranbir split; Kapoor more excited about film than relationship

Ranbir-Deepika split is the talk of the town, but the couple refuses to confirm the news. The catch is, they refuse to deny it either!

In an exclusive interview with Spicezee.com, Ranbir Kapoor replied in a way that left hardly any doubts about a cooling off of his two-year-old relationship with Deepika Padukone. The couple had been going around since their launch in Bollywood two years back, and their off-screen chemistry was worth watching. But the spark seems to have deserted them, and the split is open for the public to gape at.

While he was talking about his upcoming film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghajab Kahani’ with co-star Katrina Kaif, he was asked about his split with Deepika. He replied, “Having spent this small time in Bollywood I have understood that media linkups crop up. I would rather speak about aomthing I am more excited about. I would rather speak about my film than my relationship. I would not keep contradicting statements by media.”

Now, the absence of a denial is glaringly visible in his reply.

When further asked about the most prominent ‘jodi’ in Bollywood currently, he quipped, “Katrina-Ranbir!”

While Deepika was completely wiped out thus from the scene, Kat ruled even more regally. Ranbir added, “ Katrina is an ‘Ajab’ type of item – if I may say so. While shooting she would say something strange that would sink in only after a few days!”

Deepika Padukone miffed by Ranbir Kapoor

You may call it an irony of fate. Finally, when Neetu Kapoor started to develop a fondness for Deepika Padukone, her son Ranbir Kapoor is having a tough time keeping his love affair afloat with the dusky beauty. We hear the young couple are having endless tiffs these days sparking unsavoury rumours of an impending break-up.After one such recent showdown, Ranbir looked as if he had had enough. The couple did not attend Karan Johar’s fashion show after their spat, but were seen together later that evening at designer Shabina Khan’s bash.According to sources, looking at their faces one could easily detect the stress in their relationship. Deepika feels Ranbir is not committed to her.

Confirming the news, a tabloid quoted a source as saying: “Everyone knows Neetu never really approved of Deepika for her son even though Ranbir tried, and succeeded, to a large extent, to make his mum thaw towards his girl. Deepika somewhere felt Ranbir wasn’t making a commitment to her, even though she was fully committed to the relationship because he was waiting for mummy’s approval.Everyone around them is wondering if this is the beginning of the end.But a friend of the actress said: “They are together. Fights happen in every relationship. This is the eighth time that everyone has been convinced they are heading for a split. But it’s fine. They’ve patched up.”Meanwhile, when the team of Karthik Calling Karthik told Deepika she needed to smoke for her role in the film, the actress was afraid of getting addicted to cigarettes.

But thanks to producer Ritesh Sidhwani’s thinking, they shot for the scenes with organic cigarettes. In the movie, Deepika plays a modern girl, who smokes but eventually quits.Talking about the issue, Sidhwani said: “It’s a film about a lovable loser and a modern, hip girl, who eventually quits smoking. So, we have a nice message in the end.”

Ranbir-Deepika’s love story over?

Bollywood’s youngest love story between Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone seems to be dying its slow death. Their constant fights have taken a toll on their relationship and the two look far away from a patch up. The couple who had started dating during the shooting of Bachna Ae Haseeno in Australia do not seem to have anything left in their relationship and repeated efforts from close friends to cool things down between them have gone in vain.

They raised eyebrows when they arrived separately at Karan Johar’s fashion show during the India Couture Week recently. This was followed by a fight the same night at Shabina Khan’s birthday bash. Ranbir Kapoor is feeling suffocated in the relationship as Deepika is known to be very possessive when it comes to her beau. Her constant surveillance over his life has become one major reason for their break up.

Deepika has been engaged in a cat fight with Katrina for quite some time now over this issue. Also that fact that Ranbir’s mom Neetu Singh never approved of his affair with Deepika seems to be acting as a catalyst towards this break up. All we can say is that it will need a miracle for the couple to patch up and come back together in life.

She was shooting an intimate scene for the movie with Farhan when an uninvited Katrina landed on the sets. Deepika zeroed in on Katrina to have spread the rumours. Taking a dig at her she said it was very easy to figure out who had spread the rumours. Deepika and Ranbir had a fight Shabina Khan's party and Katrina was thought to be the reason behind it.
