Gala dinner for Big B in London

The former Maharaja of Jodhpur Gaj Singh hosted a gala dinner to raise funds for the charity he runs, India Head Injuries Foundation.

On the guest list were many Hollywood actors and Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.

The glitterati turned up for a good cause as this charity dinner raised money through auctions to help people with head injuries in England.

It was an event organised by the former Maharaja Gaj Singh whose own son suffered a head injury playing polo in 2005.

"To be able to start a foundation that is going to look after victims who suffer from head injuries is a wonderful cause. I am here to support that cause," said Amitabh Bachchan.

Hollywood actress Sigourney Weaver put up the dress she was wearing for auctioning. "I have a son who refuses to give up the motorcycle. This dress has been designed by Nayeem Khan for this occasion. Hope someone buys it as it is for a good cause," said Sigourney Weaver.

The money raised will help bring people to England for medical treatment, a country that has the maximum cases of head injuries in the world. Advertisement
